Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This place is adorable and the staff is kind! They get their pastries and baked goods from local bakeries. I got a hazelnut latte and it was delicious. Check them out!"
"I absolutely adore this lovely place!! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with the most friendly and welcoming hello and it just gets better from there! Look around and be delighted as you take in the visual appeal of this lovely place-focus on all the amazing pastries and foods that are in the showcases and try to decide just what you are going to have-not easy!! Once you select your pastry or other delectable treat, be prepared for deliciousness on a whole new level!! There are savory stuffed croissants for breakfast or lunch (everyone of them top notch yum!) breakfast sandwiches (that I ever so eager to try!!) as well as a wide variety of choices offered on their menu. Jordan and Sue are just the kindest and warmest individuals who are so happy to offer you assistance and answer questions, as well as create and serve up those delicious treats and coffees with a smile and passion for what they do. They are to be commended!! The Coffee Bar is not a "will be" but is now my "definite" go to place for lovely atmosphere, excellent pastries, food, coffees, and all around "so glad you are here with us" from Sue and Jordan vibe!!"
"I decided to visit the Coffee Bar this weekend after seeing their facebook posts about their grand opening. Since it was opening day, I waited about 15-20mins in line, and the woman at the register was very sweet and gave me 3 extra punches on their loyalty card for the inconvenience. I ordered the Scallion Stallion breakfast sandwich which was a 10/10! Their coffee was good, but wasn't really my style. I think they use Torani syrups, so it was a bit too sweet. The condiment bar (with straws, napkins, etc.) is placed behind the line where people are ordering, which creates a traffic jam. Customers have to push through the line just to grab a straw. It would make more sense to move it to the opposite side of the door for better flow. As someone who works remotely and frequents coffee shops, I have to mention that there are limited plugs for laptops. Also, unless I am mistaken, there are no bathrooms at this location so keep that in mind! I'm giving 5 stars because it's a brand new spot with potential. They’re clearly working hard and being thoughtful with customer experience. Hopefully they make a few adjustments. I’d definitely like to come back!"
"I have not been able to shut up about this place since it opened. It was so good I came back with more friends the next day. I got the espresso martini latte with oat milk and OH MY GOODNESS was it heaven in my mouth. I also got the Toni with sausage and a jalepeno bagel and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. The selection of pastries are AMAZING as well, I can’t wait to try them all they look so good. I also recommend the strawberry açaí lemonade, it was so refreshing and so delicious. The service here was also so welcoming and amazing!"
"This is such a cute new spot for coffee in Bellingham. The espresso martini latte was so yummy, and my son tried the Pink Pony Club refresher which he enjoyed."
"This place was the cutest little cafe with some of the best food around! I had a melted frosty flavored coffee in a cute ordainment cup with the chicken soup and bacon and cheese croissant and it was absolutely delicious the cafe was decorated for Christmas which made my heart super happy and I was able to buy my kids a 67 Santa ordainment for our Christmas tree."
"This place is adorable! Menu is huge, so many sweets, savory pastries, açaí bowls, lattes. The people are so nice too. It’s so good to have a local coffee shop in downtown Bellingham :)"
"Yummy! Enjoyed the muffin and egg sandwich. Liked the variety of latte flavors. The cinnamon bun was delicious. The atmosphere had a welcoming vibe."
